On Thursday, July 20th, 2006, La Cantina in San Diego, CA and Wonderful World Art Gallery invites the masses to witness original art and meet the creative forces behind the world's most intriguing 13 year old and international counterculture phenomenon – Emily the Strange.

The second stop in the international 13 city, 13th anniversary gallery tour will feature paintings on canvas, wood and screen as well as limited edition prints and original comic panels. Emily creator Rob Reger and illustrator Buzz Parker will be on hand to discuss their works and offer insights into this singularly strange pop icon. "We're excited to broaden our fan base while being more visible in the art world." Reger explains. "Comic book aficionados will really dig the 20 or more pages of comic book inks for upcoming issue 3," Parker says of the event, running tandem with International Comic Con 2006 in San Diego. "I'll be the dude in the Darth Vader Emily wig," he adds.

La Cantina is the second stop on a 13 city international gallery tour, celebrating Emily's 13th birthday since her creation at Cosmic Debris Etc., Inc. Cosmic Debris is the powerhouse behind a new wave of pop culture icons including Emily the Strange and Oopsy Daisy.
